The West Wing

The West Wing is a one-bedroom cottage in Morwenstow sleeping 2 in a king-size room, with an additional Z-bed available on request for a third guest. The property sits on an organic family farm and. Duckpool Beach is 2.2 miles along the valley road - a National Trust cove at the foot of a wooded gorge, one of the more remote stretches on the north Cornwall coast. Sandymouth Beach (3.2 miles) is broader and has a National Trust car park and seasonal refreshments. The South West Coast Path passes Duckpool and continues south through Steeple Point towards Bude (around 3.7 miles along the cliff), making the cottage a practical base for day walks.

The farm setting means the immediate environment is working agricultural land. The garden has glimpses of the Atlantic from higher ground. Morwenstow village has no through road and is one of the northernmost settlements in Cornwall, within a few miles of the Devon border. A local pub is within driving distance; Bude has supermarkets, cafes, and surf hire around 5 miles south.

Suits couples wanting a quiet base in north Cornwall with direct coastal path access. Not great for guests wanting restaurants or shops on foot - Bude is the nearest town for provisions. The Z-bed makes it workable for a small family, though the single bathroom limits comfort for three adults.
