The sitting room centres on an inglenook fireplace, and a separate dining room connects to the kitchen, which has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and washing machine. WiFi is included.

The enclosed multi-level back garden has a patio, lawn, and gravelled area with outdoor furniture. One dog is welcome. Off-road parking is provided for 1 car. Duckpool Beach, a remote National Trust cove with rock pools and boulders, is 2.6 miles away. Sandymouth Beach - a wide golden strand with reliable surf and RNLI lifeguards in summer - is 3.4 miles to the south.

Morwenstow is genuine rural Cornwall with no street lights and dark skies overhead. The coast path here ranks among the most dramatic in the county, passing Hawker's Hut and the Norman church of St Morwenna. Bude, the nearest town for shops and restaurants, is about 6 miles south.
