Tideways Apartment

Tideways is a two-bedroom apartment in the heart of West Looe, sleeping two. It sits yards from the harbourside, with the village's cluster of shops and a traditional pub a few doors down.

The living and dining room is bright, with a window looking out over the rooftops. Two bedrooms share a single bathroom. Furnishing is homely and traditional rather than designer. Wifi, washing machine, and accessible features are included, and dogs are welcome.

A small decked garden area sits to the rear, with room for a bistro table - useful for breakfast or a glass of wine after a coast-path walk. Note that no parking comes with the apartment - the Millpool car park in West Looe is the largest option (5-minute walk).

East Looe Beach, the fish restaurants and shops are 5 to 10 minutes on foot across the Victorian bridge, or two minutes on the seasonal foot ferry at high tide. The South West Coast Path runs west from the apartment past Hannafore Beach - one of the best rock-pooling spots on the south coast - and on through woodland to Polperro (3 miles).

Best for: couples or two friends with a dog who want to walk everywhere and don't mind paying for parking. Less good for drivers wanting parking on site, or anyone who needs to load a car directly.
