Tiggy Winkle

Tiggy Winkle is a two-bedroom lodge sleeping four at Atlantic Bays Holiday Park, on the edge of St Merryn in north Cornwall, with a travel cot and highchair available for younger guests.

The open-plan living area combines a kitchen, dining space and sitting area, off two bedrooms sharing a single bathroom. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine, and wifi is included. Outside, a private patio gives space to sit out, and parking is provided at the lodge, though there is no EV charging point and no sea view from the property.

The park itself has a seasonal bar in a conservatory, a games room, and a play area with swings and slides for children, plus a playing field for ball games and kite flying. Porthcothan Bay is 2.2 miles away, Treyarnon Bay is 2.4 miles, and Harlyn Bay is 2.5 miles, giving a choice of beaches for each day of a stay. Padstow's harbour, and the start of the Camel Trail, are about 15 minutes away by car, and St Merryn village has a Spar shop, a fish and chip shop and the Cornish Arms pub.

Best for families with young children, thanks to the on-site play area, games room and available travel cot and highchair, and for guests happy to drive to a different beach each day. Less good for larger groups wanting a second bathroom - the two bedrooms share one - or for anyone set on walking to the sea, since the nearest sand is more than two miles away.
