Tir is a two-bedroom cottage in the small hamlet of Bossiney, on the north Cornwall coast about a mile north of Tintagel village, sleeping 4. The cottage has an open fire, an enclosed garden, and off-road parking for one car - a compact but well-featured base for a couple or small family exploring the Tintagel coast.

The property has two bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors, with a washing machine included. Wi-Fi and parking are provided. There is no dishwasher and no BBQ. The cottage does not accept dogs and has no sea view. The open fire makes it a practical winter or shoulder-season choice.

Bossiney Cove is around 0.3 miles via the coast path - a small sandy cove that becomes fully accessible at low tide, backed by high cliffs. Rocky Valley, reached from Bossiney car park just across the road, features ruined mills and rock-carved labyrinths thought to be over 3,000 years old. The circuit runs 1.8 miles. Tintagel Castle (English Heritage, £14.80 adults) is a short drive south, reached by a footbridge spanning a 58-metre gorge opened in 2019. The King Arthur's Arms Inn, family-run for over 80 years, is under a mile away for food and local ales. Tregardock Beach is around 3.4 miles south - remote and backed by cliffs. Changeover is Friday.

Best for couples or a small family wanting a quiet coastal base with walking from the door, strong historical interest nearby, and the option to stay year-round with an open fire. Less suited to guests wanting sea views or dog-friendly accommodation.
