Ebrenn

Ebrenn is a two-bedroom cottage on Bossiney Bay Holiday Park, about half a mile from the north Cornwall coast near Tintagel. The cottage sleeps four across a double bedroom and a twin - both with Smart TVs - and suits couples or small families after quiet coastal access without being in the main village.

Inside, the kitchen-dining space is open-plan, the shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail, and a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and full-size fridge-freezer handle the practicalities. The sitting room is compact but functional for four.

The enclosed rear garden has patio furniture, a barbecue, and the private hot tub - a clear draw for off-season visits when the coast is at its most dramatic. Off-road parking fits one car. Bossiney Cove is 500 metres away - a low-tide-only sandy cove with turquoise water flanked by caves and the well-known Elephant Rock. The descent is steep, so factor that into plans with young children.

Tintagel Castle (English Heritage, adult entry £14.80) is a short drive, reached by the 47.5-tonne steel footbridge opened in 2019 that spans the 58-metre gorge. Rocky Valley, with its Bronze Age rock carvings, is a 10-minute drive. Tregardock Beach - a remote, uncommercialised surf strand - lies 3.4 miles north along the coast.

**Best for:** couples and small families who want a hot tub, coast path access, and Tintagel's history within easy reach. **Less good for:** those needing easy beach access (Bossiney Cove is tide-dependent and steep); large groups should look elsewhere.
