Titmouse Cottage

Titmouse Cottage is a one-bedroom stone cottage for two at Trenale Court, a group of eight converted cottages in the hamlet of Trenale, half a mile from Tintagel. It is the largest of the one-bedroom cottages on the site, with a more spacious living area than its neighbours.

One step leads up from the courtyard to the front door, which opens into the kitchen and dining room. The galley kitchen has a fridge, electric hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher, and a glazed patio door opens onto a fenced, south-facing garden. The dual-aspect living room has a Smart TV and a wall-hung electric fire. The double bedroom has hanging and drawer storage, and the bathroom has a shower over the bath. Electric radiators heat the cottage, and a shared laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Up to two dogs are welcome, and a shared paddock gives them room to run, with views out to sea. Bossiney Cove is about a 20-minute walk, with sand at low tide, and the National Trust harbour at Boscastle is 2.5 miles away. Tintagel's shops, pubs, castle and Merlin's Cave are less than 5 minutes by car.

Suits a couple, with or without dogs, who want a quiet lane with the coast path and Rocky Valley close by. Less good for a party of more than two, as this is a one-bedroom cottage.
