Trewinnick Lodge

Three-bedroom single-storey lodge near Tintagel on the north Cornwall coast, sleeping six across two bathrooms with a private hot tub and sea views from the living room. Dogs are welcome.

The layout is open-plan and accessible, with no internal steps. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine; wifi runs throughout. The lounge is angled toward the sea view, which sits on the northern horizon over the cliffs.

Outside, the lodge has its own enclosed garden with the hot tub and seating, plus on-site parking and an EV charging point. Tintagel village (shops, pubs, the footbridge to the castle, the 14th-century Old Post Office) is a short drive away.

Trebarwith Strand is two miles south for surf and low-tide sand. The South West Coast Path passes the village in both directions: north four miles to Boscastle's National Trust harbour, south to Port Isaac (familiar from Doc Martin). Rocky Valley, with its rock-carved labyrinth thought to be over 3,000 years old, is a short drive away. Camelford, the nearest inland town, has a leisure centre and pool.

Best for two couples, or a family of six, who want hot-tub evenings with a sea view and dogs along. Less good for guests after a traditional Cornish stone cottage - this is a contemporary lodge build, not a historic property.
