Tri

Tri is a first-floor apartment in an Edwardian townhouse in Port Isaac, sleeping five across two bedrooms. Atlantic views run from the open-plan lounge through to a Juliet balcony, and the double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room.

The second bedroom pairs a standard double with a child-size single bunk above it, subject to a 10-stone weight limit, so the five-person capacity depends on a child taking the top bunk rather than an adult. A second bathroom serves this room. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer are included. The kitchen also has a fridge/freezer and a coffee machine, and guests bring their own ground coffee. Up to two dogs can stay. The rear garden has a picnic bench, sea views and a surf-storage hut, useful for wetsuits and boards after a session at Port Gaverne Beach, 300 metres from the door.

Tregardock Beach is 3.2 miles away and Polzeath is 4.2 miles, both reachable by car for a change of scene from the harbour. Tintagel Castle is about 8 miles south.

**Best for:** a family or two couples wanting Atlantic views, surf storage and Port Gaverne Beach on foot. **Less good for:** two adults needing separate double beds, or guests who need step-free access.
