Two Whitawoo

Two Whitawoo is a one-bedroom barn conversion near Watergate Bay, sleeping two on a private complex of three properties. A king-size bed, wood burner and garden give the stay more character than its compact size suggests. The barn is single storey, with an open-plan lounge and kitchen-diner leading to the king-size bedroom.

One bathroom serves the barn. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and off-road parking for two cars are included. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge. Up to one dog can stay. The garden has a barbecue, useful for an evening meal outdoors.

Reaching the beach means driving: Mawgan Porth is 3.5 miles away, Bedruthan Steps is 3.7 miles and Porthcothan Bay is 3.9 miles, all on the surf coast north of Newquay. Coastal footpaths and the Camel Trail from Wadebridge give car-free options closer to home, with Padstow and Bodmin also within reach. The St Ervan guide covers the nearest listed village.

The king-size bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a bath, a separate shower and a WC. Wadebridge is a short drive away for boutiques and cafes, and Newquay is seven miles off.

**Best for:** a couple wanting a dog-friendly barn, a wood burner and a single-storey layout on a quiet private complex away from the crowds. **Less good for:** guests expecting beach access on foot, or a second bedroom.
