The harbour at Padstow is a short walk down into town, with Rick Stein's seafood restaurants along the waterfront and Paul Ainsworth's Michelin-starred No. 6 a few minutes further. The Camel Trail - 18 miles of traffic-free cycling to Bodmin - starts at the quayside.

Best for couples or families of six who want a penthouse position with estuary views, Padstow's food scene within walking distance, and beaches accessible by car or a short cycle. Less good for those who need to be directly on a beach - the nearest sandy beach is a 1.6 miles drive.
