Underlanes

Underlanes is a single-storey 2-bedroom cottage near Boscastle in north Cornwall, sleeping 4 with 1 bathroom. It is a semi-detached bungalow attached to a smaller holiday let, Little Lanes, through a lockable connecting door. The front lawn is shared with Little Lanes, while the rear garden is private. The address sits in Marshgate, a hamlet roughly 3 miles inland from Boscastle village.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms on a single floor, an enclosed private garden, wi-fi, parking, and a washing machine. One well-behaved pet is accepted. A cot and highchair are available, and the shop and pub are half a mile away.

Boscastle village is a short drive - the narrow harbour inlet, rebuilt after the 2004 flood, is managed by the National Trust, and the Museum of Witchcraft on the quayside is one of Cornwall's more singular attractions. Crackington Haven Beach is about 3 miles away - a sheltered cove enclosed by dramatic sandstone cliffs with surf breaks and rock pools. Tintagel Castle, connected to the Arthurian legend, is about 4 miles north along the B3263.

**Best for:** Guests who want ground-floor accommodation, those exploring the north Cornwall coast path from an inland base, and walkers who want quiet countryside access without resort-town prices. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking. **Less good for:** Guests wanting to walk to the beach (distances require a car).
