Wagtail Cottage

Wagtail Cottage is in the south wing of a converted farm courtyard called Higher Penhole Farm Cottages, in farmland 1.5 miles from East Taphouse. It sleeps four and is all on one floor. The main bedroom has a king-size bed that can be split into two singles on request, and the second bedroom has a double. Both bedrooms have a TV.

The sitting room has a woodburner and a dining area, and a Smart TV with Netflix and a music centre with CD player. Guests can borrow books and games. The kitchen has an oven and hob, a microwave, a slow cooker, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. The shower room has a single step in from the hall. Electric heating is backed by the woodburner, and a starter pack of woodburner fuel is included for winter stays. Bed linen and towels are included, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

The private enclosed lawned garden has a covered patio with furniture, and bird seed is provided for birdwatching. On-site parking takes one large car or two small ones, with more parking 200 yards away on the same site. The shop is 3.9 miles away and the pub 1.8 miles.

Pets are not accepted, smoking is not allowed, and electric cars cannot be charged at the property. The cottage suits a couple or a family with a young child, with the enclosed garden, travel cot and highchair, and is less good for anyone bringing a dog.
