Waterwitch Cottage is a recently updated two-bedroom property in Polruan village, sleeping 4 in a king-size room and a twin room. The ground floor is anchored by a kitchen/dining room with a full-width picture window framing the working harbour - fishing boats, leisure craft, and the regular Fowey passenger ferry all pass within view. A wood burner heats the sitting room in cooler months, and the layout opens out through stable doors to a slate-tiled hallway that leads up to the balcony.

The balcony seats four and faces the river, with the Fowey waterfront visible across the estuary. Steep steps drop from the balcony directly to the beach at low tide, making it possible to reach the water without returning to street level. The property also holds a dedicated swinging mooring (frape) on the river, suitable for boats up to 4 metres - a practical arrangement for anyone arriving by sea or bringing a dinghy.

Readymoney Cove is 0.7km along the South West Coast Path from Polruan - a sheltered sandy cove at the estuary mouth, accessible on foot in under 15 minutes. Lantic Bay lies 1.9km further, a National Trust beach only reachable on foot or by boat. The Polruan to Fowey passenger ferry runs from the quay at the bottom of the lane, giving access to Fowey's shops, galleries, and restaurants without needing a car.

Suits sailors, coastal walkers, and anyone wanting a genuine working-village location rather than a resort. Not well suited to guests who need level access - the village is steep and the cottage steps are not shallow. Dogs are welcome, with parking available. A good base for two couples sharing.
