Webbs Retreat

Webbs Retreat is a five-bedroom house on the Roserrow holiday complex near Polzeath, sleeping 10 across 5 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms. The scale - a full set of en-suites and an enclosed garden with a BBQ - makes it a practical choice for large groups who want space to spread out. Parking is included. Dishwasher and washing machine provided.

Polzeath beach, a half-mile surf beach with RNLI lifeguard cover and several surf schools, is 1.3 miles from the complex. The beach produces consistent waves suitable for beginners and has surf hire on site. Daymer Bay is roughly 1.4 miles away - a calmer, estuary-side alternative when the surf is too big for younger children.

The north Cornwall coast around Polzeath offers day trips in either direction. Rock is 2 miles south, where the seasonal water taxi crosses the Camel Estuary to Padstow. Port Isaac, the working harbour village, is 6 miles north and worth the drive for its fish restaurants and narrow lanes. The coast path from Polzeath to Pentire Point provides some of the most dramatic estuary views on the north coast.

Best for: large families or two households travelling together who want plenty of bathrooms and outdoor space close to a surf beach. Less good for: guests needing Wi-Fi, those looking for a remote or rural retreat, or travellers with dogs.
