Whitecaps

Whitecaps is a one-bedroom cottage for two adults at Clodgy View in St Ives, on the Porthmeor side of town, with one bathroom and a private garden - outside space that counts for a lot this close to the centre. Off-road parking is the other rarity here: parking in central St Ives is notoriously tight in season, so having a space at the cottage changes the whole week.

Wi-Fi and a washing machine are provided. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and the shower room has a walk-in shower. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. A pub or shop is less than a mile away. The property does not accept dogs or children, and the changeover day is Saturday.

Porthmeor Beach is 300 metres away, with Tate St Ives behind the surfing beach. St Ives Harbour Beach is also 300 metres away, followed by Porthminster Beach at 400 metres. The old town's galleries, restaurants and cafes are all close, although central St Ives can become busy in summer. The St Ives guide covers the town and its beaches.

**Best for:** a couple wanting beaches, galleries and restaurants on foot, with parking and a garden at the cottage. **Less good for:** dog owners, or guests needing step-free accommodation. The garden and parking make unloading straightforward after the drive down.
