A converted dairy building set in the countryside behind Widemouth Bay, sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. This single-storey property has retained period character, with medieval stone barn features, alongside practical additions including a wood burner and a BBQ.

The 3 bedrooms divide into 2 doubles and 1 twin, with the two double rooms each having en-suite facilities. Amenities include WiFi, a dishwasher, a washing machine and parking. Up to 2 dogs are welcome. The single-level layout suits those who prefer to avoid stairs.

Widemouth Bay beach is about 1.5 miles - a broad south-facing beach with consistent Atlantic surf, RNLI lifeguards from mid-May to September, and a cafe and car park right by the sand. Bude is 3 miles north and has supermarkets, the canal towpath for flat walking, the Bude Castle Heritage Centre, and the Bude Sea Pool below the breakwater for sheltered tidal swimming. The coast path runs along the cliffs in both directions from the bay. On site there is a shared indoor tennis court, a games room, a tots play area and a kite flying field.

Best for families or groups of six who want a surf-and-walk holiday base with countryside quiet rather than a village setting. Less suited to those who want to walk to the beach.
