Woolstone Teagues Trail

A three-bedroom barn conversion on a leisure estate a mile and a half from Widemouth Bay, sleeping six. Woolstone Teagues Trail is one of eight barns sharing a heated outdoor pool, an indoor tennis court, a coarse fishing lake, and managed woodland - a combination that keeps the stay going when the Atlantic delivers a grey afternoon.

Three bedrooms split across two floors: a king-size room with en-suite shower on the upper level alongside a twin, both with vaulted ceilings and exposed oak beams; a double on the ground floor. A family bathroom with bath and shower serves the ground floor. The open-plan lounge and kitchen-diner has a wood burner for cooler evenings, and the kitchen runs to dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, and air fryer. French doors open to an enclosed garden with seating that looks out over countryside toward Marhamchurch. Two dogs welcome.

Widemouth Bay is 1.5 miles - a broad, south-facing surf beach with reliable Atlantic swell, RNLI lifeguards from May to September, and a cafe and toilets on site. Millook Beach, a quieter pebble cove, is 2.7 miles south. Summerleaze Beach in Bude is 3.2 miles, with the town's sea pool and Bude Castle Heritage Centre close by. Bude is eight minutes by car and covers the full week-away basics: supermarkets, pubs, a golf course, and canal-side walking and cycling routes.

**Best for:** families who want surf access alongside on-site alternatives for non-beach days; groups with two dogs who prefer countryside over coastal surroundings. **Less good for:** guests seeking sea views or a remote rural escape - the estate setting is sociable rather than secluded.
