Wren Cottage

Wren Cottage is a one-bedroom pet-friendly cottage in the hamlet of Trenale, half a mile from Tintagel on the North Cornwall coast. It belongs to the same courtyard group as Robin's Nest and Plover Cottage - eight converted stone cottages sharing a landscaped courtyard and a dog paddock.

Inside, the layout suits couples: a bedroom, a single bathroom, a self-catering kitchen and a comfortable living area. Wifi and a washing machine are included, and the property is accessible enough to broaden the guest base.

Outside, the cottage has its own garden space and shares the courtyard's recreational paddock - a genuine asset for anyone travelling with a dog who wants off-lead exercise within the site. Private parking is on site.

Tintagel village, with its castle ruins, Merlin's Cave and Arthurian legacy, is less than a 5-minute drive or walkable via country lanes. The South West Coast Path and Rocky Valley are within easy reach, and the National Trust harbour at Boscastle sits about 2.5 miles up the coast. Bossiney Cove at around 0.6 miles is the nearest beach, with Trebarwith Strand a short drive south for surfing.

Best for couples or solo travellers with a dog who want a quiet base near Tintagel without staying in the village itself. Less good for families needing more than one bedroom or those who want a sandy beach on the doorstep.
