Port Gaverne Beach is 300m on foot - a sheltered cove below the cliffs used by local fishing boats and kayakers. The narrow road down to the water is walkable in a few minutes from the terrace. At low tide the beach extends around the headland and the rock ledges are good for crab lines. The sunroom at the back of the cottage leads to an enclosed garden with a fire pit, which adds an outdoor evening option without needing to drive to a pub.

Port Isaac village itself is about 10 minutes walk from Tintagel Terrace - a working fishing village with a working quay, a few restaurants, and the narrow alleyways (locally called drangs) that run between the steep-sided houses. The village has a strong seasonal visitor trade but retains a working character, with pot-stacked boats on the quay through the fishing season. Tregardock Beach is 5.2km for those wanting a larger, more exposed beach.

This cottage is best for a group of up to six who want a proper village location rather than a holiday park, with the fireplace and the cove walk as daily features. Dogs are welcome. Not great for those expecting parking on the doorstep - Port Isaac has limited village parking and the property may require a short walk from the nearest available space.
