1 Trevelyan

1 Trevelyan is a single-storey chalet on the outskirts of Lizard village, on the Lizard peninsula, with a designated parking space and a private garden. Inside, a living/dining room has an electric fire, a Smart TV and dining seating for two, and a compact kitchen sits next door for cooking meals to eat indoors or on the patio. A shower room and one double bedroom, finished in calming nautical tones, complete the cottage.

The village has a Post Office, Tregullas Farm Shop, the Real Cornish Ice Cream shop, and a handful of cafes and pubs. Housel Bay Beach, Lizard Point (a National Trust landmark) and the Lizard Heritage Coast are all within reach on foot, and the South West Coast Path leads north to Mullion Cove and Mullion Island for birdwatching. The Museum of Cornish Life and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary sit a short drive inland.

Lizard is the most southerly village in mainland England, with a village green, small shops, a pub, cafes, and Lizard Lighthouse, the oldest working light on the Cornish mainland. Five miles away, Mullion has restaurants, shops, Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and a working harbour. Helston, known for its Flora Day Festival and Folk Museum, and the Poldark Mine are both within driving distance.

Best for a couple travelling with a dog, thanks to the private garden and single-storey layout with no stairs. Less good for larger groups or families, since the cottage sleeps two in one bedroom with a single bathroom.
