Wavecrest Cafe – the Lizard

Dating back to the 1930s this cafe looks directly out over the cliffs and sea at the Lizard - Britain’s most southerly point - and is a good place to take the kids for lunch. It sits at the start of the coast path to Kynance Cove. The open-air seating makes the most of the view, and the food is freshly prepared to order. The cafe was given a makeover in 2017. The seating is outside so make sure you are prepared for that.

The menu is quite varied here. Breakfast is served until 11:45, and the menu also includes baguettes, burgers and hot boxes, which contain anything from king prawns to pasties to nachos. There is a kids box too. The sweets and treats section features a cream tea, and the milkshakes are made with Cornish ice cream. Gluten free and vegan options are available.
