Godrevy

Godrevy is a single-storey cottage within the Trinity House complex at Lizard Lighthouse, on mainland Britain's most southerly point. It sleeps 2 in a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower, and has an enclosed courtyard garden with a picnic table and sea views. The lighthouse itself has stood here for centuries, with the twin towers a landmark on the southern tip of the Lizard. From £635 per week.

Kynance Cove - the National Trust beach known for its turquoise water and rock stacks - is 1.6 miles along the South West Coast Path. Cadgwith, a working fishing cove, is 2.2 miles to the east. Mullion Cove is 4.5 miles north along the coast, with a harbour wall and a small sandy beach inside it.

Lizard village is roughly a quarter-mile on foot, with a pub, a post office, a village shop, and several cafes. The South West Coast Path runs in both directions from the lighthouse complex, giving direct access to some of the most varied cliff scenery on the Lizard.

Best for couples after a singular location with direct coast path access and a genuine sense of remoteness. Dog-friendly and well suited to off-season breaks. Not great for anyone needing a large kitchen or indoor space - this is a compact cottage that works best when the outdoors is the focus. BBQ and dishwasher included.
