2 Tree Tops

2 Tree Tops is a three-bedroom lodge on a holiday park with lakes and woodland at Lanreath, a village in south-east Cornwall five miles west of Looe. Everything sits on the ground floor: an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining space and a sitting area with an electric fire, plus a bathroom with a bath and shower over. Gas central heating is included, and fuel and power are covered in the rent.

The king-size main bedroom has air conditioning and an en-suite shower room with basin and WC; the other two bedrooms are a double and a twin, and all three have a TV. The lodge sleeps six. Bed linen, towels, two bathrobes and travel-size toiletries are provided, and a travel cot (without mattress) and a highchair can be hired. The kitchen has an induction oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher.

The private terrace has a hot tub with a table and chairs, and there is off-road parking for two cars. Steps lead to the property. Because of the terrace and the lakes on site, children must be supervised at all times. Barbecues may not be brought onto the park, electric vehicles cannot be charged, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted.

An on-site pub and restaurant is five minutes on foot; the nearest shop is four miles away. The lodge suits families or two couples who want a hot tub and a quiet park. It is less good for anyone travelling with a dog, as no pets are accepted, and the steps to the property are worth knowing about before you book. No smoking.
