1 Hedgerows

Plenty of outdoor space is the first thing to know about 1 Hedgerows, a single-storey lodge at Stonerush Lakes, near Lanreath. The enclosed garden wraps around the building and holds decking, garden furniture and the private hot tub. Inside, an open-plan living space has a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, with large patio doors and countryside views.

The double bedroom has a TV and an en-suite shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. The second room is a family room, fitted with a bunk bed, a single bed and its own TV, so the lodge sleeps five in total. A separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over and a heated towel rail.

In the kitchen you will find an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a smart TV, WiFi and gas central heating, and fuel and power, bed linen, towels, two bathrobes and travel-size toiletries are included. A travel cot (no mattress) and highchair are available. The Old Mill Bar & Restaurant is on site, while the nearest shop is 2 miles away and the nearest pub 3.5 miles.

A few rules affect booking. There are steps up to the property, so take care. Pets and smoking are not allowed, though the owner occasionally brings a cat, and charging an electric vehicle is not permitted. Parking is off-road with ample room. Check-in is 4pm, check-out 10am, and Sunday arrivals are not permitted. The lodge suits a family of up to five, and is less good for anyone who struggles with steps.
