1 Water's Edge

The hot tub sits on a private decked area at 1 Water's Edge, a single-storey lodge on the Stonerush Lakes resort near Lanreath. The decking has furniture, and the main bedroom opens onto it. The lodge is surrounded by lakes and open water, so children must be supervised at all times.

It sleeps four in a double bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower and a twin. A separate bathroom has a bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. The open-plan living space holds the kitchen, dining and sitting areas, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Two practical warnings apply. There is one step into the property, and the driveway is steep. Parking is off-road for one car.

One well-behaved dog is welcome and must be kept on a lead at all times on the site. The lodge has gas central heating, and a travel cot (no mattress) and highchair can be hired. The Old Mill Lakeside Bar and Restaurant is on site, and the nearest shop is 4 miles away.

Barbecues cannot be brought to the site, Sunday arrivals are not permitted and smoking is not allowed. The lodge suits a couple or family with one dog and it is less good for anyone who cannot manage a step and a steep drive.
