4 The Glade

4 The Glade is a single-storey, dog-friendly lodge on St Minver Holiday Park in north Cornwall, sleeping six guests across three bedrooms. The park sits about a mile inland from Rock, between the Camel Estuary and Polzeath.

Three bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower and heated towel rail, a double, and a twin. A separate bathroom has a bath with shower over. The open-plan living space connects kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, with a separate utility room housing a washing machine, tumble dryer, and microwave. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A Freeview TV, DVD player, WiFi, and a selection of books are provided.

Enclosed decking with furniture sits outside, alongside a communal lawn. Off-road parking is included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. On-site facilities including a swimming pool and entertainment are accessible mid-March to mid-November with passes from reception, available for a fee.

Daymer Bay Beach - a sheltered estuary beach with calm, shallow water - is 2.3 miles away. Greenaway Beach, a quiet sandy cove with rich rock pools, is 2.5 miles. Polzeath, with its reliable surf break, is also 2.5 miles north. The water taxi from Rock crosses to Padstow every 20 minutes, and the Camel Trail cycle path starts at Wadebridge, 3 miles south.

Best for a dog-owning family wanting pool access without leaving the park, with off-road parking and a mile's drive to Rock. Less good for winter visitors - the pool only runs mid-March to mid-November and passes cost extra.
