The Coach House

This group of seven has the private estate on the banks of the Camel Estuary to explore on foot. Wadebridge (2 miles) has independent shops, restaurants and pubs, while the fishing village of Rock (4 miles) offers beach time, paddleboarding and kayaking, plus a boat trip over the river to Padstow. Camel Creek Family Adventure Park (10 miles) makes for a family day out.

Sash windows and high ceilings make each room feel bright and airy. The spacious hallway leads to a kitchen/diner for breakfasts and dinners, and a living space with a wood burner and sofas. A utility room and shower room complete the downstairs. Upstairs, a generous landing opens onto three bedrooms and a family bathroom: a king-size master, a single with an additional truckle bed, and a family room with a super-king-size zip-and-link plus a single bed.

Outside, the property provides a beautiful, mature garden laid mostly to lawn, with a sun terrace complete with garden furniture. Guests can explore the estate’s grounds and surrounding woodland, and will also benefit from parking for two cars.

Best for families of up to 7 wanting flexible sleeping arrangements, thanks to the zip-and-link and trundle beds in two of the three bedrooms. Less good for guests wanting a hot tub or pool, since neither is part of this estate cottage's amenities.
