5 Esplanade is a three-bedroom townhouse spread across four floors in Fowey, sleeping 6 with 2 bathrooms. The first-floor balcony looks out over the Fowey Estuary - a wide stretch of water that sees sailing traffic throughout summer. The lower ground floor has a super-king bedroom (convertible to twin) with an ensuite walk-in shower.

Two further bedrooms sit on the upper floors. The kitchen has slate flooring and a dishwasher, with a separate utility room housing the washing machine. A BBQ and private garden add outdoor space - useful on evenings when the estuary breeze picks up. Parking and WiFi are included.

Readymoney Cove is 900 metres on foot - a sheltered sand and shingle beach below the National Trust’s St Catherine’s Castle. Fowey’s restaurants include Sam’s on the waterfront and the Old Quay House, both within 10 minutes on foot. Lantic Bay, a longer walk or short drive, adds a wilder option at 2.2km. Good for families or two couples who want a proper base in one of Cornwall’s more distinctive harbour towns. Works well for visitors who want to explore the south coast without a car.
