Castle View

Castle View is a ground-floor apartment occupying the entire lower level of a Victorian property in Fowey, sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms - 2 king-size rooms and 1 twin. The open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area faces the estuary directly, with a front terrace at water level for watching boats and ferry traffic move through the harbour.

Readymoney Cove is 200 metres on foot - close enough to walk down with towels and return for lunch. The passenger ferry to Polruan departs from the town quay nearby, giving access to the Hall Walk nature trail that runs along the opposite bank. St Catherine's Castle, an English Heritage fort above the cove, is about 10 minutes on foot. Fowey's independent restaurants, a deli, and several pubs are all within the town's compact centre.

The apartment is suited to two families or three couples who want a proper town-centre base with the beach within walking distance. Dogs are not accepted. The dishwasher and washing machine make longer stays practical.

This is right for groups who want estuary views every morning and the option to walk to the beach, town, and coastal path without getting in a car. Not great for those needing dedicated parking - Fowey's town centre streets are narrow, and the car park is a short walk away rather than on the doorstep. The three bedrooms and shared terrace work well for two families travelling together.
