Carneggan Barn

Carneggan Barn is a converted 17th-century granary loft near Fowey, set in a rural position with views across fields to the sea from Pencarrow Head to Lantivet Bay. The barn sleeps 6 across one double bedroom and 2 twin rooms, with private parking included.

The interior retains the character of the original granary conversion, with the living space arranged over the upper level of the building. An outdoor garden and terrace provide space for meals outside, taking in the coastal panorama.

Lansallos Beach, one of south Cornwall's more secluded stretches of sand, is 1.1 km away on foot via the South West Coast Path. Lantic Bay is 2.5 km along the same path, and Readymoney Cove - at the mouth of Fowey harbour - is 4.6 km distant. The nearest pubs are in the villages of Polruan and Bodinnick, each about 2.5 miles away, and a village store and post office can be found at Pelynt, 4 miles to the east.

Fowey itself is 3 miles to the west via the Bodinnick car ferry, where Daphne du Maurier lived and wrote several of her best-known novels. The harbour towns of Polperro and Looe are a 15-minute drive east, both offering boat trips, galleries, and locally caught seafood. The property sits well placed for walking the Hall Walk circular, one of south Cornwall's most popular short routes.
