9 Copes Gardens

9 Copes Gardens is a detached stone cottage in Truro, Cornwall's only city, sleeping nine guests across five bedrooms. The central location puts shops, pubs and Truro Cathedral within 0.3 miles on foot.

The ground floor has a twin bedroom, a shower room with shower, basin and WC, and a kitchen. Upstairs, a king-size double has an en-suite shower, and three further bedrooms - a double, a twin, and a single - share a bathroom with bath and hand-held shower. A dining room with TV and a sitting room with an open fire provide separate living spaces. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Wi-Fi and two TVs are included. A travel cot and highchair are available.

Driveway parking fits two cars, and the large garden has a lawn, patio, outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. There is a 26cm step from the master bedroom down to its en-suite.

The nearest coast is on the Roseland, about 25 minutes by car. Pendower Beach, a mile-long sandy stretch on Gerrans Bay with calm swimming water, is 6.3 miles away. Carne Beach, equally sheltered and backed by the Nare Hotel, is 6.6 miles. Truro's indoor Pannier Market, the Royal Cornwall Museum and the Hall for Cornwall theatre are all within walking distance, and Falmouth is reachable by scenic boat trip along the river.

Less suited to a beach-first stay, since the nearest coast is a 25-minute drive, or to guests needing step-free access, given the step down to the master en-suite.
