Ash

Ash is a single-storey, fully wheelchair-accessible cottage on the Killiow Estate near Kea, roughly 3 miles south of Truro. All rooms are on one level, and three super-king bedrooms each have zip-link beds that convert to twins and their own en-suite walk-in shower room. A separate wet room adds further flexibility for guests with mobility needs - fully accessible rural self-catering is genuinely scarce in Cornwall.

The open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area is anchored by a wood burner and an open fire. A dishwasher and washing machine are included. An enclosed decked terrace with garden furniture sits outside for outdoor dining, and off-road parking is directly beside the cottage. The Killiow Estate itself includes a golf course and managed grounds.

Truro - Cornwall's only city, with its Gothic Revival cathedral, indoor Pannier Market, and riverside Hall for Cornwall - is a 10-minute drive north. Castle Beach in Falmouth and the harbour at St Mawes are both around 6 miles south. Pendower Beach, a long stretch of sheltered sand on the south coast, is a similar distance to the south-east. Best for: groups of up to 6 needing a fully accessible, ground-level property with countryside surroundings and easy access to Truro and Falmouth. Less good for: beach-focused breaks - the nearest coast is a 15-minute drive.
