Albert House

Albert House is a four-bedroom, dog-friendly cottage in the Shutta area of Looe, a fishing town on Cornwall's south-east coast where the working harbour still lands a daily catch. The property accommodates up to 8 guests across two bathrooms, from £917 per week.

Inside, a ground-floor kitchen and dining area leads to a sitting room with Smart TV. Four bedrooms spread across three floors: a double on the first floor, two doubles and a twin on the second. Both upper-floor doubles have their own TVs. A bathroom with bath and overhead shower serves the main bedrooms, with a separate shower room on the upper floor. Wifi, a dishwasher, and a private terrace with seating complete the setup; off-road parking accommodates one car.

East Looe Beach is 900 metres away - a sandy stretch sheltered by the harbour walls, with rock pools at low tide. Plaidy Beach, a quieter mixed sand-and-shingle cove, is just over a mile to the east. Looe's narrow streets hold independent shops, fish restaurants, and galleries, while boat trips run to Looe Island - a Cornwall Wildlife Trust nature reserve offshore. The coast path west through the woods reaches Polperro in about an hour on foot.

**Best for:** families or two couples wanting a town-based base with beaches within walking distance; dog owners who want harbour-side walks and easy access to Talland Bay.

**Less good for:** guests wanting a car-free break - Shutta is hilly and parking is one car only; those needing a washing machine (not included).
