Barton House

Barton House is a four-bedroom house in Looe with the estuary just 0.1 miles away and a sitting area whose wide windows look out over the water. The living space is open plan, with the kitchen, dining area and sitting area sharing one room, and a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. There is also a separate utility room.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms and a bunk room, so the house sleeps eight. The main bathroom has a bath with a handheld shower, a separate walk-in shower, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. A second shower room on the ground floor has a walk-in shower, basin and WC, which helps when a full house is heading out at the same time. Heating is gas central heating, and bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included in the rent.

The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, air fryer and coffee maker, and there is a Smart TV with Sky and fast broadband. Outside, the terrace comes with furniture and a barbecue. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Smoking is not allowed.

Read the access notes before booking. The house stands on a steep hill and the road up is steep and narrow, with a tight bend before the house. The dedicated parking space takes one small or medium-sized car, and cars longer than 4.5 metres need other arrangements. A shop and pub are 0.2 miles away and the beach is 0.3 miles. It suits a family or two couples with a small car, and is less good for anyone arriving in a large vehicle.
