Avalennek is a reverse-level cottage in St Newlyn East, a village about 3 miles south of Newquay. The property has a hot tub, an enclosed garden, and parking for four cars - a rural base with Newquay's beaches a short drive away.

The Lappa Valley Steam Railway runs seasonal services from the valley below the village. Trerice, a National Trust Elizabethan manor house, is about 2 miles east.
