Ilgram

Ilgram is a three-bedroom, three-bathroom cottage at St Newlyn East, sleeping six. Each bedroom has its own en-suite - a practical arrangement for groups travelling as three couples or two families. The main living room has an open fire, and the kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine. An enclosed garden and private parking come with the property. No pets. Friday changeover.

Mitchell, the nearest village, is a short drive. Newquay - with its surf beaches, restaurants, and rail link - is around 15 minutes northwest by car. Great Western Beach, one of Newquay's more sheltered options, is 6.8km. Tolcarne Beach and Towan Beach are both at 6.9km. Truro, the county's main city, is roughly the same distance south.

Great Western Beach sits at the quieter eastern end of Newquay's beach chain, below the town. It is smaller than Fistral and Watergate Bay, with more shelter from westerly winds, and tends to attract fewer crowds.

Right for groups of six who prefer the privacy of en-suites over shared bathrooms, and want a rural setting with easy access to Newquay. Suits families or three couples travelling together. Less good for guests wanting a coastal walk from the door - this is an inland property and all three beaches require a car journey.
