Beachcombers

Beachcombers is a semi-detached, single-storey lodge on Whalesborough Resort and Spa, close to the village of Marhamchurch. It sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. The super-king-size bedroom has an en-suite with a bath and shower over, and the twin room has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, and both rooms have a TV.

The open-plan living space pairs a woodburning stove with underfloor heating. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle, and there is a Smart TV, WiFi, a hair dryer and an iron with ironing board. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, and a cot and highchair are available on request. The lodge booked matches the description but may differ from the one in the photos.

Outside, enclosed decking carries furniture, sun loungers and a barbecue area. A designated parking space is near the lodge, with more in the on-site car park, where EV chargers can be used for an extra fee. The resort lists an outdoor heated pool, an indoor heated pool, a spa, a sauna, a steam room, a gym, beauty treatment rooms, an indoor playroom, an outdoor playground and a restaurant. It also has a farm with summer tractor safaris, and access to the South West Coast Path and the Camel Trail.

Two well-behaved pets are welcome, with a charge per pet per night, and smoking is not allowed. The lodge suits two couples or a family with dogs who want resort facilities on the doorstep, and is less good for anyone wanting more than two bedrooms.
