Beachside

Beachside is a reverse-level, 3-bedroom cottage in Polzeath, around 600 metres from the beach. The property sleeps 5 and has off-road parking for 4 cars on a private driveway - a meaningful advantage in a village where summer parking becomes genuinely difficult.

All three bedrooms sit on the ground floor - a double, a twin, and a single - served by two shower rooms with walk-in showers. The first-floor open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area opens onto a balcony; a cloakroom sits on that level too. The kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher. WiFi and a TV are provided. The enclosed rear garden has a lawn, decking area, barbecue, and outdoor furniture.

Polzeath Beach is a 10-minute walk downhill - a half-mile surf beach with RNLI lifeguard cover from May to September and consistent left and right-hand breaks that work for learners and intermediate surfers. Greenaway Beach, a foot-access-only cove with rock pools and calmer water, is about 700 metres south. Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, is roughly a mile further on. The village itself has a Co-op, surf shop, deli, and several cafes. Rock is 2 miles south, where the water taxi to Padstow runs regularly through the season.

**Best for:** Groups of 5 wanting straightforward surf-village access, 4-car parking, and a balcony outlook - without paying for a larger property. **Less good for:** Dog owners (no dogs accepted) or anyone wanting to walk from the doorstep to shops without a short downhill stretch through the village.
