Plaidy Beach near Looe is 11.6 miles southeast - a reasonable drive from the Moor, but not the kind of distance you would do daily. East Looe Beach and Downderry Beach are roughly the same distance. Liskeard is the nearest town for shops and services, around 5 miles south.
