Moorland View Lodge is a two-bedroom lodge near the village of Upton Cross on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, sleeping 4 in 2 double bedrooms. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, a garden, and private parking are included, and 1 dog is welcome.

The lodge is laid out with an open-plan living area that faces out across open moorland. Two double bedrooms share 2 bathrooms, and the garden has a private patio. Upton Cross sits within easy walking distance of Bodmin Moor's most visited prehistoric site: the Hurlers, a line of three Bronze Age stone circles near Minions - Cornwall's highest village at around 1,000 feet. The Cheesewring granite tor is another mile beyond. Liskeard, about 4 miles south, has supermarkets and a rail link to Plymouth and Penzance. The nearest beach is Downderry, about 10 miles south - a quieter stretch of south Cornwall coast with rock pools at low tide.

**Best for:** Walking couples or small families drawn to Bodmin Moor's prehistoric moorland, who want a calm, rural stay away from the coastal crowds. **Less good for:** Beach-focused holidays - the coast is a 30-minute drive.
