Cheesewring Cottage

Cheesewring Cottage is a single-storey 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom property at Cheesewring Farm near Minions, on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, sleeping 2. The name comes from the rock formation on the hill above the village - a stack of granite discs weathered into an improbable column, reachable on foot within 20 minutes from the cottage. The single-storey layout means no stairs, which suits guests with limited mobility or those travelling with dogs, who are welcome here.

The interior is open-plan: kitchen, dining, and sitting areas share the main space, with a king-size bedroom and en-suite shower off to one side. There is a private decked garden and off-road parking. EV charging is available on site - unusual for a rural Cornish let. A washing machine is provided but no dishwasher. Wifi is included.

Minions is the highest village in Cornwall, at around 310 metres. The Hurlers stone circles are a short walk from the village - three Bronze Age rings of granite standing in open moorland. Liskeard is roughly 8km east for supermarkets and a main-line rail connection to Plymouth. For beaches, Plaidy Beach is 18.7km and East Looe Beach 19.4km on the south coast - around 25 minutes by road.

This cottage is ideal for couples or solo walkers who want a quiet Bodmin Moor base with EV charging and dog-friendly access. Good for those interested in the moor's archaeology and granite landscapes. Not great for anyone prioritising beach proximity - the south coast is 20-plus km away. Saturday changeover.
