The Coach House Cornwall

The Coach House is a one-bedroom house for two in a sheltered valley at Upton Cross, on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. This former coach house stands beside the owner's riding school, with a vaulted, beamed ceiling and moorland views reaching out beyond the valley.

An open fire and a wood burner both heat the sitting room. The king-size bedroom has its own bathroom, and Wi-Fi, parking, a washing machine and garden are included. One dog is accepted. There is no dishwasher, hot tub or barbecue, so this suits a self-catering couple rather than a group wanting garden entertaining.

The village shop is 1.5 miles away, with three pubs within 2 miles. The 17-mile Caradon Cycle Trail starts at the door, Golitha Falls is 5.5 miles away and Siblyback Lake is within reach for walking. Minions, the highest village in Cornwall at around 1,000 feet, sits a mile or so north with the Hurlers stone circles and the Cheesewring granite tor above it.
