Bide A While

Bide A While is a single-storey chalet set in open countryside a short drive from Porthcothan Bay. It sleeps four across two bedrooms and sits 1.1 miles from Porthcothan Bay Beach, where cliffs shelter the sand and the South West Coast Path runs north and south along the headland.

Two steps lead into the chalet, which is furnished in a contemporary style. The open-plan living area has separate zones for relaxing and dining, sliding glass doors to the patio, and a kitchen area with a small breakfast bar and dishwasher. The double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and the second bedroom has zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as a super-king on request. Both bedrooms have Smart TVs.

Outside, the living area opens onto a private patio with a picnic bench and BBQ, plus access to a shared garden area. Off-street parking is on site. Dogs are not accepted.

Bedruthan Steps Beach is 1.6 miles away and Treyarnon Bay 2.1 miles, with the cliffs between them often grazed by ponies and sheep. The local inn has a beer garden overlooking the bay and hosts live music. St Merryn village sits around three miles away and Padstow five miles, both with a strong pub and restaurant scene, while the surf town of Newquay lies about nine miles south.
