Wood Cottage

Wood Cottage is a whitewashed cottage at Treburrick near Trenance, and the nearest beach is 0.5 miles away. For the nearby coast, see Porthcothan Bay. Downstairs are a sitting room with a woodburning stove, a kitchen/diner, a utility room and a cloakroom, and two steps lead from the sitting room to the kitchen/dining area.

Three bedrooms sit on the first floor and sleep six: a super-king-size with an en-suite shower room, a double, and a twin with bespoke bunk beds. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The kitchen has a dishwasher and integrated fridge/freezer, the utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and fibre broadband and WiFi are included.

Large doors open to a rear courtyard with furniture, and beyond it is a large lawned garden. Parking takes two cars off the road. Two well-behaved pets are welcome, for a supplement per pet per holiday. No smoking. The shop is 2.4 miles and the pub 3.2 miles away.

Bookings need 48 hours' notice; anything closer is by enquiry pending owner acceptance. The cottage suits families and friends with dogs who want a garden. It is less good for guests who want a shop or pub close by, or who dislike stairs, as every bedroom is upstairs.
