The Old Duck House

The Old Duck House is a one-bedroom barn conversion for two in Porthcothan Bay, with a king-size bed and a single bathroom. Host Thomas manages the booking. Underfloor heating runs throughout the conversion, and coastal walks are available directly from the doorstep.

WiFi, parking, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a garden are included, and up to two dogs can stay. There is no hot tub, wood burner, open fire, BBQ or step-free access, so the barn suits a couple over a group wanting those extras.

Porthcothan Bay is 0.6 miles away, a narrow inlet with no seasonal dog ban that stays popular with dog walkers year-round; at low tide the sand opens out to connect with smaller coves and rock pools nearby. Treyarnon Bay is 1.3 miles from the barn and Constantine Bay is 1.9 miles away. Padstow, around five miles to the north, and the Camel Trail are also within reach for a longer day out.
