Carines Barns - Pen

Pen is a three-bedroom converted barn at Carines Farm near Cubert, part of a small collection of holiday properties on a working farm between Crantock and Holywell Bay. With a private hot tub, solar panels, and biomass-fed underfloor heating, it combines rural character with modern comfort.

The ground floor has a super king-size zip-and-link bedroom and a twin zip-and-link that converts to super king-size, plus a single bedroom. A walk-in shower room and a separate bathroom with bath, shower over, and heated towel rail serve the three bedrooms. The first floor opens into a combined kitchen, dining area, and sitting room with a Smart TV. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, fan-assisted oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washer/dryer.

The enclosed rear garden has a hot tub, patio with seating, and a lawn area. Shared grounds include a larger field with football nets, a hammock, and a barbecue area. Off-road parking is ample. Up to four dogs are welcome.

Crantock Beach lies 1.3 miles to the northwest, and Porth Joke - a quieter cove with no road access - is 1.4 miles away. The village of Cubert itself has the Smugglers' Den Inn for food and drink, with Newquay about 3 miles north via the A3075. Pen interconnects with Tre to sleep 7, and the full Carines Barns collection sleeps up to 21.

Best for a family or small group with dogs wanting their own hot tub on a working farm. Less good for anyone wanting total seclusion - the grounds are shared with the wider Carines Barns collection, which sleeps up to 21 across its properties.
