The Smugglers Den Inn, a 16th-century thatched pub at Trebellan, is a mile south. Newquay and Fistral Beach are 4 miles north for surf, shops, and the airport.

Best for families and small groups wanting a quiet rural base with a big garden and easy access to the surf coast. Less good for guests who want contemporary interiors or a harbour-front location - this is village Cornwall, not Padstow.
