Two-bedroom self-catering cottage in Mousehole (pronounced "Mowzle") sleeping two, with sea views over Mount's Bay and a private garden. The harbour wall sits a short walk downhill through the granite lanes, and the cottage holds a 9.8 review average from 33 stays.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open fire in the living room for off-season evenings. Wifi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included. The rear garden is enclosed. Dogs are not accepted.

On-site parking is the standout for Mousehole. Most village properties have none, and the public car park at the top of the hill fills by mid-morning in summer. Carveth's parking sits beside the cottage.

Mousehole's harbour is around five minutes downhill, with the Ship Inn, the Rock Pool cafe and a handful of galleries along the quay. The Christmas harbour lights run through December and draw crowds county-wide. The South West Coast Path leaves the village south to Lamorna Cove (1.9 miles) and north to Newlyn (1 mile). Penzance, with its Scilly ferry and mainline rail terminus, is 3 miles north.

Best for couples after a quiet base with a car space. Less good for larger groups - it sleeps two despite the second bedroom.
