Carvosso

Carvosso is a recently renovated two-bedroom cottage in Mousehole, a granite fishing village three miles south of Penzance. It sleeps 4 across a double and a twin room, with dark tiled flooring running through the open-plan ground floor and a wood burner set into a stone fireplace.

One bathroom serves both bedrooms. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and a washing machine are included, and a barbecue sits in the small courtyard garden. There is no hot tub, and the cottage is not step-free, so guests with limited mobility should check the layout before booking. Dogs are not accepted.

Parking is provided outside the cottage. Mousehole Beach is 200 metres away, Lamorna Cove is 1.9 miles along the coast road and Eastern Green Beach is 3 miles further west.

Mousehole's medieval harbour, its galleries and the Rock Pool cafe on the harbour wall are all within the same short walk, and the village hosts its stargazy pie tradition at the Ship Inn every December. Sixteen holidaycottages reviews give Carvosso a rating of 4.45 out of 5.

**Best for:** a family or two couples wanting laundry facilities, a courtyard garden and the beach 200 metres from the door. **Less good for:** guests bringing a dog, needing more than one bathroom, or requiring step-free access.
